Mid-Atlantic Environmental Justice

I am a Black, climate-tech entrepreneur, who has invented and begun implementing, inter-related and patented processes, which cost-effectively combat Climate Change, promote Environmental Justice, and create new jobs in poor urban and rural communities of color.

After seeing the disproportionate level of poverty and despair in Black, rural communities, when I was recruited to take on a state-wide economic development role in South Carolina in 2003, I began working on ways to change that situation. And, after leaving government, to more freely work on that issue, I later won the Purpose Prize, in 2008, for those efforts.

Realizing that innovation would be needed to overcome the challenges, in 2016, I invented, thru Agri-Tech Producers, LLC (ATP), my tech holding company, my CRBBP Process, primarily to help economically uplift Black, rural communities.

I then began creating state-based, operating affiliate companies, like ATP-MD, LLC, and ATP-VA, LLC to commercialize both urban and rural applications of my CRBBP Process.

Using our patented Combined Remediation Biomass and Bio-Product Production (CRBBP) Process, one plants and then multi-tasks fast and large-growing Bio-Crops to cost-effectively do good things, powered by sunlight. Examples include capturing large amounts of CO2; remediating air, soil and water; and then making circular economy bio-products from the harvested material, in which the captured carbon is sequestered.
