Indigenous Futures
We started as a publishing company in 2016, seeking to produce comics, games, toys, and collectibles that would change the perceptions of Native and Indigenous peoples through pop culture media. In 2017, we founded the Indigenous Comic Con (now Indigenous Pop Culture Expo) to showcase all the incredible Native Creatives that were also working to change the representation of Native people. Last year, we have transitioned to a non-profit to continue our work engaging and inspiring Indigenous youth and communities through pop culture media, innovative experiences, and culturally dynamic programming. We believe that culturally engaged creativity and imagination promote socio-emotional health and wellbeing and positive and meaningful representation.
