I was inspired to start my own business during the pandemic. As a trained nurse, healthcare resources were stretched extremely thin and a disproportionate amount of African Americans were suffering health and financial distress. I decided to use my knowledge and experience as a health educator to start a new state-approved proprietary school to specialize in short-term health care training certifications. This allows students to quickly enter the healthcare workforce to effect a positive change within their own communities. I have also been able to add my personal flair and try to instill self-love and positivity in my students during their training.
